Laser Cutting

Our 3000w Amada laser cutting machine offers the fastest cutting speeds on the market! Laser cutting offers the ability to cut through a wide variety of materials and thicknesses at high speeds, producing extremely precise and accurate cuts. Laser cutting involves the application of Fiber lasers onto materials to make an accurate and precise cut. In addition to the high speeds at which this operation is able to produce cuts, it creates precise cuts with very smooth edges. Laser cutting is flexible and cost-effective, while providing a considerably better finished result than other similar processes. In an industry where precision is of the utmost priority and quality is crucial, a laser cutting machine is a tremendous production asset. Laser cutters produce highly precise cuts for a variety of metals such as steel, stainless steel, super alloys, aluminum, copper, and brass.

Water-Jet Cutting 

With our abrasive water-jet machines, Altona Custom Metal can provide complex cutting of virtually any material up to 6 inches thick. This state-of-the-art technology offers flexibility and fast turnaround from prototype to production.

Tolerance and accuracy is within +/-.004 per inch of thickness and water-jet cutting leaves minimal burrs or thermal distortion. With no material hardening or stress, we offer the best nesting ability possible.

Plasma Cutting

Using CNC Plasma machinery, we can cut materials up to 10 feet long, 6 feet wide, and .375 inches think.  Plasma cutting leaves a rough edge where the cut is made but can be ground smooth to resolve this. Plasma cutting is typically fast, making it ideal for larger pieces and larger production runs.

Welding Services

Dedicated to providing customer satisfaction through superior quality and service, Altona Custom Metal Works provides exceptional, MIG & TIG welding services. We work closely with clients from a wide variety of industries and regularly weld steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

BENDING 

We are proud to offer custom press brake forming services. Our facility has 4 press brakes which we can expertly operate to work with any material up to 250 tons. Our custom press brake forming services are available for parts up to 12 feet long and 1/2" inch thick.

SHEARING

With a 10 ft shear in house, Altona Custom Metal Works has the ability to shear 1/4" thick stainless steel, 3/8" thick steel and 1/2" thick aluminum.

PUNCHING

With a CNC punch and hydraulic Ironworker, we can  precisely punch any material ranging from 24 gauge to 1/2" thick.
